All the molecules we perceive as scent are made of the same elements. Once upon a time, atoms of hydrogen, carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and other elements were drifting through space. Now they swirl through the woods, flowers and spices of Earth.

Every species on our planet and every fragrance we smell is the product of a cosmic odyssey that took billions of years to complete. The chemical compounds that create scent, such as terpenes, esters, or aldehydes, are Earthly compositions of matter. You could say, in effect, they are the universe speaking via perfume.

So when we smell a fragrance, we are but the cosmos experiencing itself, through the invisible poetry of scent.

This is Monolith, the echo of something left behind. A composition that captures the strange pull of the unknown.

Fir Balsam Absolute is one of my favorite aromatic ingredients. At last, it finds its place here. It is the heart of the piece, with its rich coniferous scent and irresistible warmth. It is joined by the soft, dry woodiness of Virginia Cedarwood, grounding the blend with subtle strength.

Frankincense Absolute and Essential Oil impart their timeless resinous spicy scent. Mysterious, smoky, and gently luminous. Elemi lifts this spicy note with its fresh, citrusy edge, while Ginger cuts through at the top with a sharper note.

There are fleeting hints of life. Osmanthus, which has a delicate scent of leather and apricot, and Jasmine, which has a chilly and glass-like character.

Lastly, a precisely balanced composition of White Musks wraps the fragrance in a weightless veil. Silent, persistent, and always just out of reach.
