"I wanted to create a scent that feels like a beautiful threat. Something green, cold, and seductive, with darkness underneath. I kept thinking about wet stone, tangled vines, black fabric against skin, the silence of old rooms, the kind of atmosphere that feels heavy in the best way. Not romantic in a soft sense. Romantic in a ruined, obsessive sense.
I’m always drawn to that tension: sharpness against warmth, clean lines against decay, light brushing against something almost feral. I wanted the opening to feel immediate and cutting, bitter green, dry woods, a flash of citrus, something almost icy. Then it shifts. Darker. Softer. Stranger. The heart feels bruised to me, wilted petals, green tea, crushed leaves, something intimate and slightly undone.
What I love most is the drydown, because that’s where the scent becomes skin. Warmer, deeper, more resinous. Amber, moss, cedar, shadowed woods. It stops performing and starts confessing. It feels private. Elegant, but not polished. More like smudged eyeliner, old gold, a silk dress worn too late into the night.

It comes in a thick-walled glass flask that not only offers substantiality to the experience of holding it in your hand, but also protects the precious content and showcases the natural colour within (without the use of additional dyes).
A high-quality and large-capacity sprayer crowns the flask. Chosen to make every spray a moment of pleasure by releasing a fine mist that evenly covers the skin. Encased in a matte black and silver box designed by us, the Eau de Toilette sits snugly in a bespoke in-let to protect it on its journey to you.

You can apply the Eau de Toilette at any time, but for the best results, we recommend applying it after a hot shower.
Hold the bottle about 15cm from the skin and apply to pulse points such as wrists, neck and behind the earlobes. Avoid use on freshly shaved areas and on mucous membranes.
Do not rub the fragrance. If you wish to transfer the scent, gently dab it over to the other wrist. Rubbing your wrists after applying a fragrance will breaks destroy the notes causing them to evaporate too quickly and therefore shortening the longevity of the perfume.

To my decidedly subjective nose, Ride or Die feels like a fairly familiar modern fresh fruity-woody chypre — but with a distinctive little twist. Or maybe a little grape, considering the note profile? 🤔🍇😁
It’s very much a summer fragrance: almost unisex in character, yet with a quietly masculine backbone hiding beneath the surface.
Stylistically, it reminds me of something halfway between Lacoste Essential and a Versace fragrance — though at the moment I couldn’t tell you which one.
It’s far from linear and changes quickly on my skin.
The opening is bright, energetic, and slightly sharp, accompanied by a sweetness that initially seems determined to become quite rich and dense. Fortunately, darker, drier, slightly tart, and airy notes step in and keep that sweetness in check, preventing it from taking center stage.
Unfortunately, my skin tends to burn through lighter summer EDTs rather quickly.
Ride or Die reached its base within a few hours and became quieter than I would have preferred. Even so, it remained pleasantly persistent, and I could still detect it quite clearly for five or six hours.
As with all of the Westman Shaving EDTs I own (and somehow there are about 12 of them at this point! 🙈), the quality is dramatically higher than the price would suggest.
After three days with Ride or Die, I'm still discovering new facets of it every day.
A few hours into the drydown, Ride or Die starts to reveal a tiny hint of Ganymede.
Not nearly as bold or dominant - just a subtle little wink.
They probably share a few common base accords.
